Durga Sukhtam

Privacy policy

The app collects nothing.

Applies to Durga Sukhtam for iPhone and iPad. Last updated 22 August 2026.

That heading is the entire policy. The rest of this page explains what it means in practice, and what the app does instead.

Durga Sukhtam has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party software development kits, and no tracking of any kind. It does not make network connections. Nothing you do in the app leaves your device.

What we do not collect

Why we can say that so plainly

The app has no networking code in it. All fifteen recordings and all of the text are bundled inside the app when you download it, which is why it works with no signal and in aeroplane mode. There is no server for it to talk to, because there is no server.

The app also ships a privacy manifest — a file Apple requires developers to include, declaring what data an app gathers. Ours declares no tracking, no collected data types, and no use of the categories of system API that Apple asks developers to justify.

What stays on your device

While the app is open it keeps track of which verse you are on, whether audio is playing, and the playback speed you chose. That lives in memory only, for as long as the app is running, and is not written anywhere or sent anywhere.

When audio is playing, the app tells iOS the verse number and the album artwork so the Lock Screen and Control Center can show what is playing. That is a normal part of playing audio on iOS. The information goes to the operating system on your own device, and not to us.

Children

The app is rated suitable for ages four and up and is safe for children to use. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either.

What Apple sees

Downloading the app is a transaction between you and Apple, and it is governed by Apple's privacy policy rather than this one. Apple provides developers with anonymous, aggregated statistics — download counts by country, for example — which cannot identify any individual. That is the only information about the app we ever see, and it comes from Apple, not from the app.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever begins collecting anything, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the release notes on the App Store. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
