Durga Sukhtam

Terms of use

Short, because there is not much to agree to.

Applies to Durga Sukhtam for iPhone and iPad. Last updated 22 August 2026.

The licence

Durga Sukhtam is free. Downloading it from the App Store gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on the devices associated with your Apple Account. You may not sell the app, or redistribute it or its recordings as your own work.

Because the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement for applications also applies. Where that agreement and this page disagree, Apple's takes precedence.

The text and the recitation

The Durga Sūktam itself is an ancient text in the public domain. The recordings and the arrangement of the text within this app were prepared for it and are provided for personal study and devotional use.

The text has been transcribed with care, and corrections are welcome through the support page. It is offered as a learning aid rather than as a scholarly edition, and anyone using it for formal study should check it against a printed edition and, better still, against a teacher.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We cannot promise it will be free of errors, or that it will run on every device or every future version of iOS. To the extent the law allows, 12nines is not liable for any loss arising from using it.

Privacy

The app collects nothing. The privacy policy sets out what that means in detail.

Changes

These terms may be updated when the app changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
